In fact, ERP isn't always sex, in fact, it very rarely is. ERP is simply roleplay with erotic elements, and you know what? Different things are erotic to different people. The simple act of kissing can be erotic to some, whilst to others it might have no effect.

Cyber, is sex through an online medium. It has nothing to do with roleplay other than the literal playing of roles. Writing "Slowly reaches for the object" isn't RP, that's description, an emote. Cybering through emotes does not make it an RP or ERP.

 

Cyber is just having sex, there's absolutely no story, no incorporating each character's personality or the game world.

 

ERP is IC activity, it involves both characters' personalities, can reference their backstory, likes/dislikes, etc.
